2nd Week Of Classes/ Weekend Outings

Image
Hello, my fellow readers,      The 2nd week of classes has gone better than the last week of classes. There was more interaction in class and I felt that I had now gotten a little bit used to the British education system. I still need a little more work with getting used to the 3-hour seminar, but if there are more physical activities in class then the time will go fast. I am now working on a pantomime in my applied theatre class and we are mixing the storyline of Cinderella and Princessa Aurora by showing the Elementary School students that wherever they come from, no matter their background they are still able to go to any university they want. Our professor wanted our class to perform for children who believe they are not able to go to university and who are scared of going to university and we want to show them that university is not a scary place and it is a place full of possibilities.  I believe this will be a good experience for me to actually know what applied theatre is all

1st Week of Classes

Hello, my fellow readers,    Oh goodness, the first week of classes has ended and it was a week of learning and getting used to the British style of education. First, this week made me miss my theatre professor because she could have ended one of my theatre classes in less than 2 hours and it would still be exciting to return to the next class. The reason for this is that we have a lecture class that would be for 1 hour and then during the day or the next day, we would have seminars for 3 hours. For example, Tuesdays I have a lecture class for 1 hour and a seminar of that lecture class for 3 hours. Wednesdays I would have another seminar, of that same lecture class from Tuesday, for 3 hours but would be free for the day after 12'oclock in the afternoon. Thursdays I would have an hour lecture and a 3-hour seminar all about the same subject that whole day and would come home exhausted, but it is better than my Tuesdays class.

Traveling deeper in the City of Liverpool

Hello, my fellow readers,         It was my first time taking the train to the city center and it was an experience. It felt nice taking a train instead of the bus because it's a one-way straight to the city center and our tickets can be used as a day saver. If we took the bus we would have to pay to go and get back to our accommodations, the train was an easy way to go to places. On the list of things to do, we would visit the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool Cathedral, and Albert Docks. The two Cathedrals are a mile or so apart from each other as well as Albert Docks, maybe even more. I took a picture of a map where you, my fellow readers, can see how much we walked as a group together. I would never get the love for walking, to be honest. Anyway, the first Cathedral is more modern whereas the second Cathedral is more Norte Dam kind of style.  The Albert Docks hold lots of history because it is where the 3 graces are placed. The 3 graces are basically buildings where t
